For a football fan, there might be nothing better than watching a playoff game at Lambeau Field – and seeing it decided, dramatically, in overtime. But that’s what occurred on January 4, 2004, when the Packers hosted the Seahawks in an NFC Wild Card game. Throughout this freezing-cold afternoon, the teams exchanged leads – and when Brett Favre’s Packers scored 14 unanswered points to take a 27-20 lead with under three minutes left, the Lambeau Field crowd was in ecstasy. But, led by their own quarterback, Matt Hasselbeck – who would finish the day with 305 passing yards – the Seahawks drove 67 yards and scored a touchdown with under a minute left, and the game went into overtime. Hasselbeck, extremely confident heading into the extra period, won the coin flip and declared: “We want the ball and we’re going to score.” In overtime, Hasselbeck was intercepted by the Packers’ Al Harris, who returned the throw for a 52-yard touchdown as the Seahawks lost, 33-27. ― NFL 100
