An NFC Wild Card playoff game in San Francisco between 12-4 San Francisco and 11-5 Green Bay on January 3, 1999 was neck-and-neck throughout. The Packers, winners of two straight NFC titles, led 17-10 at halftime, but the 49ers scored 10 straight in the third quarter to take a 20-17 lead. A 15-yard touchdown pass from Brett Favre to Antonio Freeman with two minutes left put Green Bay ahead, 27-23. Thatโ€™s when Steve Young led San Francisco on one of that franchiseโ€™s most memorable drives. Young took his offense 76 yards on nine plays, the last and most pivotal of which would become known as โ€œThe Catch II.โ€ With eight seconds left at the Green Bay 25, Young threw a pass down the middle to Terrell Owens, who caught the ball in a crowd and โ€“ withstanding a huge hit โ€“ scored a touchdown for a 30-27 win. โ€• NFL 100
