2006 Elite Eight
One of the more improbable NCAA Tournament runs was made by the 11th-seeded George Mason Patriots. Despite a severe height disadvantage, the Patriots outrebounded No. 1 UConn 37-34 and overcame a 12-point first-half deficit to force the extra session — where they ultimately pulled off the upset and advanced to the Final Four. At the time, George Mason became just the second double-digit seed to make the Final Four. ― New Arena
