One year after being clobbered by Duke in the National Championship, Michigan’s “Fab Five” were back looking to take care of some unfinished business. However, the result for the Wolverines was even more devastating than the previous campaign. Chris Webber’s infamous call for an unavailable timeout — trailing by two in the final seconds — resulted in a technical foul, two free throws and the ball for Carolina. The loss marked the end of the famed “Fab Five.” ― New Arena
